The global increasing demand for energy has brought attention to the need efficiency. Markedly noticeable in developing areas, challenges can be at-tributed losses distribution and transmission sys-tems, insufficient demand-side management. Demand-oriented systems have been widely proposed as feasible solutions. Smart Home Energy Management Systems include smart Internet of Things (IoT)-capable devices an ecosystem programmed achieve However, these apply only already-smart are not appropriate many locales where a majority appliances yet IoT-capable. In this paper, we establish pay non-smart appliances, propose solution incorporating such into energy-efficient IoT space. As solution, Homergy, IoT-based Solution that is useful any market –advanced developing. Homergy consists Box (which device with connectivity, in-built microcontroller opto-coupled relays), NoSQL cloud-based database streaming capabilities, secure cross-platform mobile app (Homergy Mobile App). To validate illustrate effectiveness system was deployed tested 3 different consumer scenarios: low-consuming house, single-user office high-consuming house. results indicated produced weekly savings 0.5 kWh 0.35 office, 13-kWh improvement over existing smart-devices-only
